Iskra is psychologist, great honest friend, cat owner (we all love Lala – her long fur lady cat) and vegetarian. I don’t like label people according to their habits or believes, that’s why I first decided to put all these other things that make Iskra one of the greatest persons I know.
0. First we all need a few pictures of Lala… <3
1. When I make ________ I always add _______ to make it taste better.
When I make no matter what, salty dish or sweets, I always add a bit of lemon zest to make it taste better. Without it, it’s like you have perfect make up on but without mascara.
2. What is the most interesting not to say bizzare taste you tried?
It is definitely not the tastiest, but we can say it is the most interesting. Snails! One time was enough for me.
3. I know you are hell of a cook. A lot of meat lovers present the statement that meal cannot be fullfiled without meat, tell me a recipe which can change their mind. Tell me one healthy vegetarian recipe that satisfy even die hard meat lovers.
I suggest you to prepare this stew in a non-stick large pot.
Peel and chop squash into cubs (2 cm). Heat olive oil and put finely chopped red onion, garlic, celery stalk and squash cubes. Fry them for 2-3 minutes. Then add can of pelat tomatoes. Cook for about 15 minutes. Then add black lentil, put some salt, cumin and chili flakes in and cook everything for 25 more minutes. Slowly add water as needed and don’t let it dry out or stick. Then put the chick peas and chopped (not finely) spinach and cook for few more minutes until everything is mixed together and delicious.
When it is done and ready to eat, squeeze some lemon juice over it, sprinkle with finely chopped parsley and roasted cashew nuts and to finish it up put your greek yogurt or crème fresh. Vegans can dig in without it.
Come on, what more do you need? Isn’t life about the small things? – (You can find recipe here – Delicious autumn stew)
4. Avocado. Overrated or not?
Avocado overrated?! Oh honey, how can something so soft, green, fatty (in a good way) and nutritive be overrated? It is a pure perfection. No matter how, in beautiful salads, healthy sandwiches, tasty cold soups, raw chocolate or delicious cakes, make me and I will eat it and ask for more!
5. Words of Advice for a New Vegetarian?
Words of advice for a new vegetarian… Hm… now I am supposed to say something smart. Be curious, try new foods, stick with your decision if it makes sense to you and check your vitamin B12 status :D.
